Manuel Tomadin

Manuel Tomadin (1977), studied piano, organ and organ composition and harpsichord. His harpsichord degree from the University of Udine included a thesis about the Goldberg Variations of J.S.Bach. From 2003-2008, he was titular organist of the Civic Chapel in the Cathedral of "San Giusto" in Trieste.  An expert in the performance practices of the Renaissance and Baroque, he has followed masterclasses with, among others, Claudio Astronio, Andrea Marcon, Michael Radulescu, Luca Scandali, Ferruccio Bartoletti,  Peter Planyavsky, Olivier Latry, Paolo Crivellaro, Jon Laukvik, Ludger Lohmann, Gustav Auzinger, Hans Fagius, Pieter Van Dijk, Francesco di Lernia and Eric Lebrun. From 2001 to 2003 he studied at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland) with Jean Claude Zehnder and Andrea Marcon. His collaberations include projects with M° Staropoli Manuel. Tomadin also directs his own early music group, "Terg Antiqua". As a soloist he has performed thoughout  Italy and Europe. His solo recordings include a series of six CDs featuring historic organs in and around Venice. Manuel Tomandin teaches early music, harpsichord and organ at the Summer Music Courses in Sappada (Belluno, Italy), at the Beograd Accademy, and at the Musik Hochschule of Mannheim. He is artistic director of the A. Vivaldi Festival in Trieste, and of the organ academy of Udine. He has won prizes at both national and international organ competitions, including those at Mittenwald (Germany) and Innsbrück.
