2.00 - 5.00 pm | Organ crawl of Alkmaar led by Frank van Wijk | € 10,-/ € 8,-* | | Every historic organ in Alkmaar is now in optimal condition, having each been restored by Flentrop orgelbouw. The afternoon beings in the Grote Sint Laurenskerk, with a demonstration of the organ built by Jan van Covelens in 1511. Thereafter the organs of the Lutherse Kerk (Müller?, 1755), the Kapelkerk (Müller, 1762) and the Remonstrantse kerk (Strümphler, 1792) will be visited. Each instrument will be thoroughly demonstrated and its history explained. The music of Dieterich Buxtehude and his contemporaries will be featured. |
